Here is my entry for my university's Games Jam that was being run by our Games Development Society. We had 72 hours to create a game from scratch with the theme "hunted". I decided to solo this project as I wanted to set a challenge for myself to see what I could do.
The aim of the game is simple, your character has travelled in time and has ended up in an orc dungeon, your character sees a skull in a chest and looks to pick it up, you hear the orcs getting angry as they know and are starting to hunt you, your aim is to escape the dungeon as quickly as possible in the shortest time without being killed.
The player and orc characters and dungeon walls, floor stairs, ceilings, colums, chest and skull were used from existing packs from the Unity Asset Store. Everything else from the level design, scripting and audio I did myself, including getting to use pieces from my Stylized Dungeon Props pack just to add some quick variety to the rooms.
I decided to use Unity for the Games Jam as the engine is slightly easier to use compared to Unreal, and is better suited for creating smaller games such as this. I definitely found it tough making a game on my own, I didn't manage to implement everything I wanted, however was still pleased that I managed to put this together and was submitted in time
